Over spring break of this year I decided I wanted to become a healthier person. It might have been the fact that I didn't make my school's softball team or that something in me just clicked. I wasn't working out regularly, but I do think that I ate relatively alright. My mom is a big believer in healthy eating so I became familiar with only eating good foods. But over spring break I did some research and started consistently working out.
This could be one of the best decisions I ever made.
Now I'm not going to kid you its tough in the beginning. But you just push through it because honestly is will make a huge impact on your mood, body, and confidence among many other factors. Personally I started out with a lot of cardio, which is great but overall my goal was to tone up so of course I turned to Youtube. I found Blogilates right away. And I soon became obsessed. Her videos are so fun and give a really great workout with results. I still do her workouts. If your looking for a good butt kick do her new "POP HIIT" videos because they're simply awesome. I do a mix of those videos, cardio, softball, and other videos such as Tone it Up.
So your probably pondering this new idea of eating healthy and working out, but ponder no more just do. I must remind you that majority of your lifestyle is eating right and a little bit is based on exercise. So personally I am more strict with my food than working out, but I am still consistent because working out gives me so much energy! Eating right is 10x more challenging than exercising so this will take time. But its important to note what you do to your body today will impact your future and your overall life capability. Why start later when you have built up all these bad habits when you can start today. I can promise you that the results are endless. To name a few: confidence, stamina, prolonged energy, pride, and knowing your life will be prolonged. I think that its a pretty fair trade for one hour of exercise a day and eating more greens and less processed crap. But hey maybe that's just me... No not even close.
P.S. I will continue with these fitness/food posts as I find it more important than most other topics.
