Makeup Brand Review: The Balm Cosmetics

Hello guys and gals so today I decided to do a review on all the products I have from the same brand. The first one I will show for you is The Balm products. This has definitely become one of my favorite high end brands as almost everything I have tried I fell in love with. This makeup line used to be sold at Sephora, but now I can only seem to find them online at www.thebalm.com. !

It's important to note this is my first time with the pictures so... hopefully it will be less sucky next time.

Hot Ticket Nail Polish in Petunia and Mellow Yellow $10 each

These polishes may be on the expensive side, but their well worth it. I can get away with only one coat, which is awesome considering I own two neon/bright colors. I love both of them as they're fresh for summer and/or spring and I can go a couple more days without chipping in comparison to OPI. THESE ROCK
Petunia

Mellow Yellow

Bahama Mama Bronzer $20, Mary Lou Manizer $24, and Hot Mama blush $20
This bronzer has got to be one of my favorites because its matte, pigmented, and easy to blend. The color is on the darker side so its perfect for contouring or an all over glow with a light hand. The highlighter is the most stunning I have ever seen. Its rich, creamy, and gives an awesome shimmer. The color is perfect as its a champagne that leans more on the golden side. It's intense, but oh so beautiful. Last of my cheek products is a blush called Hot Mama. It's so similar to NARS Orgasm in the way that it looks great on anyone and with any look. It has a beautiful golden shimmer running through that makes it so you don't even need a highlighter!

The Balm Girls Lipstick in Mai Billsbepaid  $17 and Plump Your Pucker Lipgloss in Cocoa my Coconut $15
I'm not really a nude lipstick kind of girl, but this nude is perfect. Its on the mauve-y side of the nude family and won't disappoint. Its moisturizing, long-wearing, and creamy as can be. Its also leaves a bit of a tingling feel which is always nice. Now the lipgloss on the other hand is something I enjoy a lot less. It smells like fake chocolate, a scent I personally hate, and the applicator doesn't feel very nice on the lips. It is a creamy, smooth formula but there is hardly any pigmentation. I would pass on this one.

Liquid Time Balm Concealer in Fair $20 and theBalm Concealer in Light $18
Starting off with the liquid concealer... I hated it. I did love that it matched my skin perfectly, which is shocking considering there is only 3 options. The thing that bugged me was that is highlighted my blemishes. It has tea tree oil so it is meant to treat/conceal zits, yet all it did was bring attention to them. This would be wonderful under the eyes if it didn't cake up and crease like no other. I would not recommend this at all. The other concealer is lovely. I use it all the time for my undereyes as it has a slightly peachy tone. It doesn't crease or get very cakey underneath my eyes. I have tried to use this on my face, but it ends up looking a bit too heavy considering its a more moisturizing, waxey formula. I give it the thumbs up!

Overshadow in Work is Overrated $15
This was my first go at loose eyeshadows so it was quite the experience. None the less its a beautiful color for the inner corner, all over the lid, or on top of any shadow to get a bit more shimmer. It leans on the sparkly side, but I still find it wearable enough for daytime as the color is so soft. A must have !

Work is Overrated

Stainiac in Beauty Queen $17
This is my all time favorite stain. I mentioned it in my last post on current favorites as I can't stop wearing it! The color is gorgeous as it can be worn down as a flush or pumped up to a full on fushia lip. I also love the gel formula as its light and very long-wearing. I prefer it on my lips, but have used it on my cheeks as well for a rosy glow. A summer essential for me.
A small size as I couldn't find my full size at the time I was taking pictures
One swipe
3 more layers to show how it's buildable

I hope you all enjoyed this very long post ! It took a bit more time but I think it was worth it! Let me know in the comments the next brand you want me to review and I will do it if I have a good amount of products! Adios!
